Carlson FiX1

FiX1

The Fixed Installation Scanner (FiX1) from Carlson provides a simple, automated method for obtaining volumetric results of stockpiles in many different applications.

The FiX1 system can be scheduled to scan, process and deliver a result without any user intervention. With remote connectivity through mobile and Wi-Fi networks, the FiX1 can be permanently installed into inaccessible areas. It can be left to carry out volumetric scans that are triggered manually or by a user-defined schedule to automate a scan and provide continuous calculations.

Key Features

Key Features:CALS mosaic

  • Automated delivery of volumetric results

  • Provides stockpile volume information or detailed scans in geographically remote areas without assigning manpower and measurement tools

  • After installation, no knowledge of surveying, data processing or point cloud manipulation is required by users

  • Improves safety by removing the need for feet on the ground in potentially hazardous areas, such as quarries or open pit mining

  • Identify trends in material stockpiling or usage

  • Multiple units can be connected in a network to allow the monitoring of large stockpiles or distinct unrelated locations within a site

Areas of use

Areas of use2

Specialized for use In calculating stockpiles, warehouse monitoring, quarry and open pit mine profiling

  • Interior/exterior ore stockpiles

  • Grain storage monitoring

  • Quarry & open pit mine operations

  • Anywhere volumes need to be tracked!

How it works

How it works

  • Access to the FIX1 device is carried out through the user web-interface using one of three connection methods: Mobile, Wi-Fi and EthernetFiX1

  • FIX1 web interface shows the history of scans and volumes, which the user can download if necessary

  • Scheduled measurements can be configured to send completion and volume reports by email and SMS

  • The FIX1 web interface provides access to all settings and diagnostics such as scan schedule, system performance, laser and motor configuration

  • Notification of faults can be obtained by email or view a report via a web-interface

  • Web-interface is automatically updated

  • For a system consisting of multiple FiX1 scanners, one scanner can act as a hub and provide access to all other scanners on the network, allowing you to configure them through a single interface
